About Straight Shooters

Coach Brian Fruscio is the Varsity Head Coach at the Canterbury School (last 4 seasons) and through his successful leadership; the Canterbury teams have been ranked in NESPSAC and have played amazing schedules.

Coach Fruscio once again has been invited to work Coach Izzo's Michigan State Basketball Camp, Eastern Invitational Camp in NJ and Hoop Mountain in MA - the last two camps are for top H.S. Players.

Coach Fruscio has been a Head Coach and Assistant Coach at the College Level (Div 1,2 and 3). Coach Fruscio was one of the youngest Head Coaches in the Country in 1992. He was the Head Coach of Southern Vermont College at the age of 23.

Coach started his coaching career in 1990 at Saint Rose after playing four years at Ithaca College. After his first high school stint at LaSalle (2003 Class AA Champs), Coach spent a year at Division 1 Siena College. He also spent a year coaching professionally in the CBA during the Patroons first year back in 2005. He served as an assistant Coach on a Team USA squad that competed in Turkey and was National Coach for the Country of Montserrat. Additionally, he has been a Commissioner at Eastern Invitational and coached at the celebrated Five-Star Camp and Hoop Mountain All-Academic Camp.

Coach Fruscio believes in developing fundamentals of Basketball and Life. Coach Fruscio has been running Summer Basketball Camps for over 36 years. This is Coach Fruscio's 4th year running clinics and camps at the Canterbury School.
